Beatrice Hasell-McCosh works between South London and Cumbria.
She studied at Leigh School of Art, Edinburgh and completed the one year postgraduate programme at The Royal Drawing School.
Her style is naturally expressive, full of vitality and concerned with figurative likeness. Having been brought up on the edge of the Lake District her main interest is in painting landscapes and she travels everywhere with oil paint, aiming to present the unremarkable as unusual. Sketchbooks are integral to her work and she uses these as a form of reference if painting directly from life isn't possible. Her first solo show was at The Coningsby Gallery in London in April 2017.
Studio visits are welcomed by appointment and commissions accepted. If you'd like to see more of Beatrice's work go to www.beatricehasellmccosh.com
